LED Aquarium Lighting

Home / LED Aquarium Lighting

LED Aquarium Lighting has taken the Reef Aquarium Lighting industry by storm. With the countless options of LED’s. Cree LED keeps pushing the limits of high output and high efficiency. With Cree XRE, XPG, XPE, Cree Royal Blue LED and a dimmable driver you can make a colour combination to suit your liking. The best feature of LED Aquarium Lighting is if one day you decide that your tank is too blue, just crank up the white led’s.

    Hello5
I have a 125 gallon reef aquarium the is 5 feet by 18 inches wide. Currently I have 2 T5 actinic couple with 2 150 W MH bulbs and would like to replace with LEDs. I was thinking that if I bought the 48 light kit with the cool whites, I could mount them on a 48 inch base with 2 longer heatsinks to illuminate the entire tank. Would these be spaced too far appart to adequately cover the tank. Please advise.
    Thank you
    Erik

Two 24″ heatsinks with 36 LEDs each will replace your current lighting. For better growth I would recommend 36 Royal Blue, 12 Cool White and 12 XP-G for a high noon on each heatsink this would be the equivalent of two 400 Watt MH and suitable for almost any coral or clams
